HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid
The aquatic rescue course covers essential skills for effective aquatic rescue, including assessing the casualty, ensuring safety, and accessing emergency services. Students will also utilize various resources to provide first aid, including CPR training, conducting CPR, using a defibrillator, administering an autoinjector for anaphylaxis, managing asthma medication, assisting someone who is choking, and applying appropriate immobilization techniques for envenomation, fractures, dislocations, sprains, and strains. Additionally, the course addresses managing casualties with non-life-threatening bleeding and shock.
Duration - 3.5 hours of face-to-face assessment & training, along with additional online learning.

HLTAID012 - Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
In this course focused on child and infant care, you'll learn essential skills for aquatic rescue situations, including how to identify illness or injury, access emergency services, and provide first aid treatment safely. The training includes vital aspects of CPR training, such as using action plans, equipment, and resources for effective response. You'll also learn how to administer an autoinjector for anaphylaxis, manage asthma medication, and handle immobilization for envenomation, fractures, dislocations, sprains, strains, as well as addressing bleeding, shock, and other critical conditions. This first aid course is essential for anyone involved in emergency scenarios, ensuring you're well-prepared for any situation that may arise.
Duration - 4 hours of face-to-face assessment & training, & additional online learning.
